FAQ #1: What's the difference between DSL and Cable for internet access?
The speed of your DSL connection depends on the distance to your house from the nearest DSL hub. If you are within a half mile of the hub, your service will be a lot faster than Cable. The speed of your Cable Modem connection depends on the number of other users that are surfing at the same time. If you live a long distance from a DSL hub or if you live in a community where not many people use broadband internet, choose the Cable option.
FAQ #2: What should I pay for broadband service?
It varies from area to area, but if you are paying more than $40 per month for internet service, it's time to shop around.
